I Got Tired of Looking at the Cat . . .
So here's a picture of a Brazilian dimensional embroidered flower:
The hibiscus is from my book (Rosalie Wakefield) My LadyFlowers, and one of my favorite stitch combinations for petals that stand firmly off the fabric.
Thanks, Margaret. It starts with a double cast-on drizzle. Then you add a bullion the length of the drizzle, to fit "around" it. Then, holding the drizzle and the bullion together, you will buttonhole stitch around - through the drizzle loop and including the bullion. More details in the book, but this is the basic idea. Give it a try. I think you'll like it. Thanks for your note. I'm never sure if anyone reads here, but I'm having fun writing anyway.
