I Got Tired of Looking at the Cat . . .

So here's a picture of a Brazilian dimensional embroidered flower:

The hibiscus is from my book (Rosalie Wakefield) My LadyFlowers, and one of my favorite stitch combinations for petals that stand firmly off the fabric.

  1. Thanks, Margaret. It starts with a double cast-on drizzle. Then you add a bullion the length of the drizzle, to fit "around" it. Then, holding the drizzle and the bullion together, you will buttonhole stitch around - through the drizzle loop and including the bullion. More details in the book, but this is the basic idea. Give it a try. I think you'll like it.
